A note from the designer

Hi! I'm so happy you're here! I've loved wearing this subtle nod to my values, and hearing others resonate with it made me want to share it more broadly. I'm so curious what conversations it might spark in your life!

The phrase “chickens are your friends” came to me when I heard about a family friend teaching their child about “protein chicken” and “animal chicken” as two separate concepts, to numb the concern their child had about eating chickens.

It’s a simple tee, but I spent a lot of time refining each detail. I think the color is flattering to all, and it's probably the most comfortable tee I own. I didn’t want unsold inventory sitting around or going to waste, so each shirt is made to order.

I'm also proud to share that 20% of profits go to Mercy For Animals, an international nonprofit working to end factory farming and help build a more humane, sustainable food system.
